Lubbock Texas Mission Advice: Sisters Edition
HEY SISTER!
Were you just called to the Texas Lubbock Mission? We have got the BEST advice for you. If you keep reading you find out what clothing, shoes, accessories and more are best for your mission!
You are going to want breathable, cotton, and loose materials when it comes to buying clothes. Below are some of the best items that you can buy that will last you your WHOLE mission!
Dresses:
Skirts:
Jasmine Skirt (On Sale for $19 or 2 for $30)
This is the Tamera Skirt.
Tops:
This is the Janie Top.
When it comes to clothes you really want to think about what you would be most comfortable in during hot and humid weather. Thin, cotton, and breathable materials are where it’s at!
Now for shoes!
Most returned missionaries who served in Lubbock suggested Danskos which are SO AMAZING for Sisters!
Here are all of our BEST suggestions for shoes: Dansko Deena, Dansko Fawna, Dansko Rowan, Dansko Leeza, and the Dansko Rissa (pictured below).
Making the decision for what shoes to get will depend from person to person. We highly recommend coming into our store to try on all the different shoes so you can find your Cinderella slipper!
Now for accessories! This is where things start to get fun!!
There are a few accessories that you will need no matter what!
#1 - A bag
#2 - A water bottle
and of course...
#3 - Hair accessories!!
Deciding what bag to get can be stressful. There are so many options out there. So we are going to narrow it down for you and give you 2 options that will best support your needs!
The Willesden B Bag and the Sojourn Convertible Messenger Bag are your best 2 options out there hands down!
Okay now for water bottles. This is a MUST! You will be outside a lot and you cannot get dehydrated! Not drinking water is a dangerous game!!!
At the moment we don’t sell water bottles at Sister MissionaryMall but here are some of our staff of RMs favorites.
Hydroflasks are a GREAT option! They come in all sorts of colors and styles. They are also super insulated so your water will stay cold all day long. You will definitely be able to find one that you love!
Next option is Owala. Not only are they trendy but they are incredibly practical. Again, they come in so many colors and will keep your water cold all day! You will be able to find the one that fits your style and your needs!
OKAY! Who doesn’t love a good hair accessory?!
