Picking Up Your Missionary (Who Has No Phone)

The reunion is the fun part; a little planning keeps it smooth.

Get the flight details early. The mission office sends an itinerary. Confirm the arrival airport, terminal, and time, and keep an eye out for delays.

Plan the meet-up spot. Since your missionary won't have a working phone, agree in advance (through the mission office) on exactly where to meet, usually baggage claim or the arrivals area.

Allow extra time. International connections and customs take time. Arrive early and be patient if the schedule slips.

Bring a warm welcome. Bring signs, gather the family, and be ready with a big hug. You might also bring a fresh change of clothes for the ride home.
