Every missionary goes through moments in the mission where they feel discouraged and down because of various aspects of the mission; the work may not be progressing and you were hoping it would be, your investigators may have a hard month where commitments aren't being kept as well as they have been in the past, you may have a companion who is not terribly easy to get along with, etc. When those times come it is important to strengthen yourself, muster up your faith and find a way to buoy yourself up and move forward. One of the greatest ways to do that is to find solace in the uplifting words of the latter-day prophets. Below is a great collection of links to talks and devotionals that have been favorites of missionaries in years past. Though some are older, they all contain words that have kept missionaries feeling hopeful and happy throughout their service. Some missionaries have found that printing off talks that they felt inspired by and bringing them with them into the mission field was extremely helpful.
